Family Guide

The SPS Family Guide is intended to provide parents with information about Stamford Public Schools and select Stamford Board of Education (BOE) policies and regulations. This guide is not intended to be all inclusive, nor does it contain all policies, regulations, rules, and directives of the BOE, Stamford Public Schools, or
the individual schools.

BOE Policies and Regulations are available to view in their entirety HERE.  In addition, links to each policy are provided in Appendix D of the Guide.

Students and families are expected to know and follow all relevant policies, regulations, and protocols of the BOE, Stamford Public Schools, and the individual schools. Violations of policies, regulations, and protocols will be investigated, and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken, up to and including suspension, expulsion, and referral to law enforcement.

All BOE, SPS, and school policies comply with federal, state, and local laws. Please contact your school principal or the District’s Chief Compliance Officer for further information. For the purposes of this guide, “parent” means parents, guardians, or those otherwise responsible for the education of a child enrolled in Stamford Public Schools.
