Hello Stark Families,
We hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and in good spirits during these unprecedented times. To say this past week has been a whirlwind is an understatement. The amount of ever changing information we’re all being presented with has certainly caused much angst and trepidation. However, in spite of the challenges that lie ahead, we have never been more proud of the Stark community.
Our Stark staff has rallied together to collaborate amongst grade levels and departments to prepare a meaningful distance learning experience for our students. As we write this now, we can hear nearby teachers assisting their colleagues with lesson planning, data collection and technology support. Our cafeteria staff is hard at work preparing meals for students in the community to ensure they are properly nourished. Our office staff is organizing the distribution of Chromebooks and other necessary materials so they are readily available for at home learning. The professionalism, work ethic and passion displayed this week by the Stark staff are a reminder that during difficult times, we are stronger together. Thank you to our Stark staff for your strength!
Our Stark families have also shown amazing poise and resilience this week. We have fielded a myriad of calls from parents expressing their concern for other families and asking what they can do to help those in need. Courage is best defined as “grace under pressure” and you have all been just that, courageous. Thank you for your patience, understanding and empathy!
And of course our Stark Star students have been exceptional! The resilience of children is truly something to behold. In spite of fears of the unknown and a vast amount of information their young minds are trying to process, this week was actually as typical as can be for them. There was laughter, there was learning and there was play. Thank you students for always being our reason why!
