Born and raised in Queens, New York, Hubert Gordon moved to Stamford Connecticut in 1997. Mr. Gordon and his wife raised their two daughters here until 2007 when they moved overseas. He holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science from SUNY Stony Brook, a Masters Degree in Theology from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, a Masters in Teaching from CUNY Lehman College and a Masters in Educational Administration from Bank Street College.
Mr. Gordon comes to Northeast with 8 years of administrative experience. He worked in the NYC public school system as a business manager and an assistant principal. He also worked in an international school as a literacy coach, PK-8 principal and Deputy Head of School. Prior to becoming an administrator Mr. Gordon taught middle school social studies and humanities for 5 years. He has also taught high school IB African History and Theory of Knowledge for one year overseas.
Mr. Gordon has extensive experience with standards based curricula, balanced literacy using the Teachers College Reading and Writing approach, Everyday Math and FOSS science.
