In an effort to reduce our environmental footprint, to utilize innovative technology and to reach more families directly, the Stamford Public Schools (SPS) utilizes an electronic flyer (Flyers powered by Peachjar) delivery vendor.Requests for flyer distribution that conform to the Stamford BOE Policy 1140 and approved by the Office of Public Affairs will be available on the school(s) website(s) for which the request was made by clicking on

Families, for whom we have e-mail addresses, will also receive an e-mail with a link to the flyers and will have the ability to manage their own delivery preferences for those e-mail messages. Additionally, any family for whom we do not have an e-mail address will be able to register directly with their e-mail address.Generally speaking, any flyer from a not-for-profit, 501C3-designated organization, a community organization hosting an educational event, or a for-profit organization that is offering an instructional or educational camp while schools are out of session, will be approved.All organizations must submit flyer requests electronically and may be required to pay a per-school fee for distribution of the flyer to the vendor (Peachjar). The fee charged will depend upon the type of organization or event that they are promoting and goes directly to the vendor. If the organization is a 501C3, and the event they are promoting is free, then there will be no charge to post the flyer. Some organizations may also choose to send a limited number of paper flyers to each school for families who do not have Internet access, but electronic approval will have to be received in advance.Individual schools and school organizations such as PTOs will have the ability to create and send flyers to families and post on their school website free of charge.

Flyer Approval

To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to all parents for whom we have e-mail addresses at the requested schools and posted online. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.

Register as a Program Provider at www.peachjar.com (or log in, if you are already registered)
Go to "My Account"
Click on "Send a Flyer"
Select desired schools

Your flyer will automatically be submitted to the SPS Office of Public Affairs for approval or denial, based on SPS Board Policy 1140 and Regulation 1140R. If approved it will be posted online and e-mailed to parents.Any questions about approval decisions should be directed to SPSPublicAffairs@stamfordct.gov.
