Update: Graduation Ceremony, Class Certification and Diploma Distribution Dates Set--Time for Each High School's Graduation Ceremony to be Determined

At a special Board of Education (BOE) meeting held on Monday, April 9, 2018, Stamford Public Schools (SPS) and the BOE finalized the end-of-year dates for the 2017-2018 SPS School Year. The BOE voted to make Monday, June 25, 2018, the last day of school for students and Tuesday, June 26, the last day for staff. June 21, 22 and 25, will be Early Release days for students only. Tuesday, June 26, will be an Early Release day for staff.
Graduation ceremonies will take place at all three high schools on Friday, June 22, at a time to be determined for each school.  Students will process in caps and gowns, as well as follow other graduation traditions. However, in keeping with State of Connecticut law, students will not be awarded diplomas until they complete the 180th day of class on Monday, June 25, at which time the class will be certified by the principal, and students will receive their diplomas.
Dates for elementary and middle school student moving up ceremonies will be announced following the April break.
