The USDA has extended the deadline to allow ALL children aged 18 and younger to receive meals at no charge.
Stamford Public Schools continue to provide FREE breakfast and lunch meals through Chartwells School Dining Services to all Stamford children 18 and younger. For more information, visit:

FAQ’s
Do Distance Teaching and Learning Academy students receive FREE meals?
Yes. Distance Teaching and Learning Academy students (or parents/guardians of DTLA students) may pick up their meals Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the following Grab & Go locations:- Cloonan Middle School (under the stairs, at front entrance) 11 W. North Street, 2:30pm – 4:30pm
- Rippowam Middle School (right side of building) - 381 High Ridge Road, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
- Rogers International School (front entrance) - 202 Blachley Road, 4:00pm – 6:00pm
- Westover Elementary School (Stillwater Ave side of building, next to playground) - 412 Stillwater Avenue, 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Will my Hybrid Teaching and Learning student receive meals on days they learn at home?
Yes. Hybrid Model students will have an opportunity to bring home meals for the next day. Breakfast and lunch meals for the Distance Learning day will be available for students to pick up, as they leave school each day.
Elementary students may be offered these meals in their classroom prior to dismissal; at Middle and High Schools, the meals are available as students exit the building.
All meals are FREE for all students.
Will weekend meals be provided to Hybrid Model students?
Yes. Parents/guardians may pick up weekend meals at the following sites:
- Cloonan Middle School (under the stairs, at front entrance) - 11 W. North Street, 2:30pm – 4:30pm
- Rippowam Middle School (right side of building) - 381 High Ridge Road, 4:30pm – 6:30pm

How are meals distributed, when my child is at school?
For breakfast, elementary and secondary students pick up their Grab & Go meals at school entrances to be eaten in their classrooms*
For lunch, meals for elementary school students are delivered and eaten in their classrooms. Middle and high school students pick up and eat their Grab & Go meals in the cafeteria and common areas, to allow for social distancing.
*Westhill students grab & go breakfast available in the cafeteria
Are meals available for members of the Stamford community with children 18 years of age or younger who do not attend SPS?
Yes. Free Meals are available at the above Grab & Go locations for all children 18 years of age and younger, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Please be advised that school meals can only be picked up for your own children AND at only at 1 location per day.

What do I do if my child has food-related allergies?

Yes! All families are still encouraged to apply, online or via paper application located in the lobby of the Government Center, for free or reduced priced meals so that when the program expires, students can continue to receive free or reduced meals if they qualify.
