Stamford Public Schools to Participate in Seamless Summer Food Program

Through Chartwells Dining Services

Children & Teens 18 and Younger Will Receive Free Meals During the Summer

             FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 2021                                     


Stamford, Conn.-- Stamford Public Schools (SPS) announces its participation in the federally funded Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Under the SFSP, nutritious meals are provided free of charge to children 18 years and under at the following sites:


All sites serve 7 day Grab and Go breakfast & lunch meals kits, every Wednesday

Meal service dates 6/23/2021 – 8/25/2021

Lathan Wilder Community Center

All meals are FREE.

Are meals available for members of the Stamford community with children 18 years of age or younger who do not attend SPS?

Yes. Free Meals are available at the above Grab & Go locations for all children 18 years of age and younger, every Wednesday from 6/23/2021 - 8/25/2021.   Please be advised that school meals can only be picked up for your own children AND at only at 1 location per day.

Do I still need to apply for Free or Reduced meals this 2020-2021 school year?

Yes! All families are still encouraged to apply, online or via paper application located in the lobby of the Government Center, for free or reduced priced meals so that when the program expires, students can continue to receive free or reduced meals if they qualify.
