Magnet School Information Sessions

The district and individual magnet schools host information sessions for parents to explain the magnet school program, application process, and the unique academic offerings at each magnet school. 

Interested families are strongly encouraged to participate in one of the district-wide virtual information sessions to understand our magnet school program and the process. In addition, parents are strongly encouraged to also attend one of the in-person information sessions being held at the school in which they plan to apply.  

Please note that there is no need to register for any of the information sessions prior to attending.

Stamford Public Schools Magnet School Program Information Sessions

During these virtual sessions hosted by Stamford Public Schools, families were given an overview of the magnet school program, including the different types of magnet schools (intradistrict vs. interdistrict, district-wide vs. attendance zone), how a controlled lottery works, and how to apply.

 

Individual Magnet School Information Sessions

During these in-person sessions, school administrators and other staff share important information about the themed academic programming offered at that school, answer parent questions, and provide tours of the school. These sessions are open to all families with students eligible for the SPS Magnet School Lottery program. Advanced registration is not required.
