Music in the Stamford Public Schools
All students in the Stamford Public Schools explore music through movement, theory and performance opportunities. Students also study music history and world music through listening and analysis. Music is an interdisciplinary subject, through which children bridge the gap between artistic and academic disciplines. Through the development of these skills and opportunities, our students are able to communicate their musical knowledge and experience of both the joy of accomplishment and freedom of expression.
