Shout out to the Knights at Newfield Elementary, who studied the US Constitution and after their study created their rules for the school.

 

The Stamford Magazine honored Angela Chavez and Ayaan Sadiq as 2 of Stamford Teens to Watch. It spotlights the impact they are making in the community. Angela plans to study architecture and design homes for people in need. Ayaan dreams of becoming a doctor and helping others in a simple, direct way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last week approximately 20 EcoKids volunteers from Henkel visited K.T. Murphy Elementary School for Community Impact Day.

During their morning visit, volunteers spent time visiting 9 classrooms across Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. The Henkel team led engaging, age-appropriate lessons focused on environmental stewardship and sustainable habits, complete with short lessons and fun, hands-on activities.

We are deeply grateful to the Henkel EcoKids volunteers for giving their time, energy, and enthusiasm to empower our young learners and inspire green habits for the future!

💙We were honored to welcome Scarlett Lewis (Founder of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement) and Laurie Sullivan (CT Choose Love Ambassador) for an inspiring Professional Development session with our Roxbury faculty!

The presentation focused on Choose Love SEL Program: Foundations and Implementation, guiding educators through the Implementation Roadmap:

3️⃣ Shared vision
4️⃣ Create an SEL system
5️⃣ Active implementation
6️⃣ Continuous improvement Teachers dove deep into discussions surrounding the 4 Pillars and the Choose Love Formula—discovering powerful ways to equip staff, parents, and students with the SEL aptitudes needed to take healthy risks, build confidence, and foster a supportive learning community. 💛✨

Congratulations to AITE’s Aila Flynn who won the American Legion’s 2026 Citywide Oratorical Contest. Superintendent Talley visited Claude Morest’s American Government class on Wednesday morning to present Aila with the Championship Cup.
