Interim Appointments in Teaching & Learning Department for 2026-27 School Year

Stamford Public Schools made the following interim appointments today, which are effective immediately:  

  • Oleg (Alec) Iogman, from Assistant Director of Technology Integration and Online Assessment to Interim Director of Systems and Student Outcome Data;
  • Jeanette Christian, from Teacher on Special Assignment for Technology to Interim Assistant Director of Technology Integration and Online Assessment; and 
  • Adam Scianna, from Teacher on Special Assignment for Pathways & Career Technical Education to Assistant Director for Pathways & Career Technical Education. 

Iogman replaces Scott Clayton, who was appointed the Assistant Superintendent, Secondary on Tuesday, July 14 by the Stamford Board of Education. Christian will backfill Iogman’s current role. Scianna will backfill a vacancy created through a resignation. 

“Alec, Jeannette, and Adam are dedicated educators who have proven themselves indispensable members of the Teaching & Learning Department," said Chief Academic Officer Amy Beldotti. “Each of these individuals are universally respected by their peers, and I am excited for them to embark on these new opportunities for professional growth.” 

As members of the technology integration team, Iogman and Christian have been instrumental in developing the District Technology Plan, implementing new technology platforms to support instruction and communication, providing professional development, and supporting one-to-one devices for students. 

As a member of the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Team for Secondary, Scianna has supported the rapid expansion of the district’s career and technical education pathways at Stamford High and Westhill while continuing to oversee the ECS program at Stamford High. Scianna also manages the Federal Perkins V grant program that helps fund the career pathways initiatives. 

Alec Iogman, Director of Systems and Student Outcome Data

Iogman has worked in technology integration for Samford Public Schools since 2021. He began his career as a first, second, and fifth grade teacher at Westover Magnet School from 2005 to 2013, later serving as the school’s Administrative Intern from 2015 to 2019. He was the district’s Curriculum Associate for K-5 Mathematics from 2013 to 2015 and Curriculum Associate for K–12 Science in 2019-20. 

He earned a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and American Studies from Skidmore College, and both a Master’s in Elementary Education and a Sixth-Year Diploma in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Bridgeport. 

He is certified by the Connecticut State Department of Education in PreK-6 Elementary Education (CT 013) and Intermediate Administration or Supervision (CT 092).

Jeanette Christian, Assistant Dir., Tech Integration and Online Assessment

Christian has been the Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) for Technology since 2022. Before joining the central office, she was a Technology Integration Support Specialist at Northeast Elementary, the School Library Media Specialist at Toquam Magnet Elementary, and the School Library Media Specialist at Hart Magnet Elementary. Earlier in her career she was a Grade 6 teacher of science, reading, and language arts at James A. Farley Middle School in Stony Point, NY and a Grade 6 science teacher at Monticello Middle School in Monticello, NY. 

Christian earned a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Oswego, a Master’s in Instructional Technology from the New York Institute of Technology, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from the State University of New York at New Paltz. 

She is certified by the Connecticut State Department of Education in PreK-6 Elementary Education (CT 013), School Library Media Specialist (CT 062) and Intermediate Administration or Supervision (CT 092).

Adam Scianna, Assistant Dir., Pathways and Career Technical Education 

Scianna joined the Teaching & Learning Department in 2024 from Stamford High School, where he was a mathematics teacher from 2011 to 2018 and the Director of the Early College Studies (ECS) Program from 2018 to 2024. The ECS program is a partnership between SHS and CT State Community College Norwalk that enables Stamford students to simultaneously earn a high school diploma and an associates degree in computer science.  

Adam has both a Bachelor's and Masters in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a Sixth-Year Diploma in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Bridgeport. 

He is certified by the Connecticut State Department of Education in Grades 4-12 Mathematics (CT 029), Grades PreK–12 Technology Education (CT 047), and K–12 Intermediate Administration or Supervision (CT 092).
