Stamford Public Schools Hosts 93 Partners for City-Wide College and Career Fair, Emphasizing "No One Size Fits All" Success

On April 30th, Stamford Public Schools (SPS) hosted its Annual City-Wide College and Career Fair. Highlighting the district’s commitment to prepare students for careers as unique and diverse as the students themselves, the event drew a crowd of motivated students and families, all eager to explore the diverse post-secondary landscape.

Reflecting the district’s commitment to "career-connected learning," the fair featured 93 representatives from a wide spectrum of industries and institutions. Attendees engaged with:

  • Academic Institutions: State universities, and two- and four-year colleges.
  • Technical & Trade Paths: Trade schools, military branches, and apprenticeship programs.
  • Community Partners: Non-profit organizations and state agencies.

“Our vision is to empower every student with a personalized roadmap to success by bridging the gap between the classroom and the workforce," said Amy Beldotti, Chief Academic Officer. "We envision a future where all graduates are fully equipped to navigate a diverse global economy. This event reinforces our belief that excellence is achieved through many paths—whether that is through a traditional four-year degree, a technical certification, or a skilled apprenticeship."

Crucial to this mission are the SPS school counselors—dedicated professional educators who partner with students, families, and staff to ensure success in secondary school and beyond. By promoting access and opportunity for every student, our counselors provide the essential guidance needed to turn the possibilities discovered at the Fair into a concrete postsecondary reality.
