      • SPS is excited to offer the opportunity for families and students to learn more about block scheduling and what this change means for teaching and learning in our secondary schools. Join us May 18th at 6:30pm via zoom as Dr. Vince Mancuso leads a session specifically designed to help guardians and students learn what to expect in terms of possible daily schedules and having more time for deeper and hands-on learning and collaboration. Dr. Mancuso is a highly experienced science teacher, author, and national presenter who has provided professional development for all teachers at Westhill and Stamford High Schools in preparation for this important initiative.

  • Supporting Stress, Excessive Worry, and Mental Health for Parents and Caregivers

      • This presentation focuses on ways parents and caregivers can support their children with stress, excessive worry and mental health during the re-acclimation process.  Participants will leave this presentation with strategies that they can utilize at home to help promote positive mental health and emotional growth.
