Connect

To activate your ParentSquare account follow these steps: 

• Visit parentsquare.com/signin 

• In the Register box, type in your email address or phone number listed in PowerSchool 

• Check your email for a verification code and enter where prompted

• Confirm your account information 

Account activation is required to use features such as two-way messaging, conference scheduling, event registrations, volunteer sign-ups, and electronic forms. To get the most out of ParentSquare, we also encourage you to download the free mobile app (iOS or Android). 

1. Open Account Settings in the app or on the website.
2. Select Notifications.
3. Choose preferred delivery methods:
   1. Email
   2. Text
   3. Voice
   4. App push notifications
4. Set frequency preferences:
   1. Instant
   2. Daily digest
   3. Off
       

One-to-One Messaging

• Directly message classroom teachers, staff, or administrators.
• Built-in translation capabilities allow messages to be automatically translated into the preferred language of each user.
• Supports two-way communication for quick questions, updates, and feedback.

Emergency Alerts

• Instant notifications for weather closures, lockdown drills, bus delays, and other urgent updates.
• Alerts are delivered through email, text, and voice messages to ensure timely communication.
• Designed to keep families informed during critical situations.

Weekly Messages and Newsletters

• Receive weekly updates from the district and individual school buildings.
• Access newsletters, announcements, and important reminders in one place.
• View messages through the ParentSquare app, email, or text.

ParentSquare offers multiple ways to receive messages, similar to our previous platforms, including SchoolMessenger and Remind:

• Email: Receive all updates directly in the inbox.
• Text Messages: Get quick alerts and reminders on mobile devices.
• Voice Messages: Hear important announcements through automated calls.
• Mobile App: Access all communication features in one convenient location.

ParentSquare elevates school communication by moving beyond simple alerts to provide true two-way communications between you and your child’s school. While systems like SchoolMessenger and Remind focused primarily on notification delivery, ParentSquare acts as an all-in-one hub where you can message with your child’s teacher, complete digital forms, schedule parent-teacher conferences, and coordinate volunteer sign-ups without ever leaving the platform. 

By consolidating these essential tasks into one place, ParentSquare helps families stay better informed and more deeply connected to their school community.

  • Access school and district event calendars.
  • RSVP to events and add them to personal calendars.
  • Stay informed about upcoming activities and deadlines.
• Photos, Files, and Media
  • View and download shared photos, newsletters, and classroom updates.
  • Access important documents uploaded by teachers or administrators.
