Superintendent Search 2026

The Stamford Board of Education is partnering with Zeal Education Group to lead the search for the next Superintendent of Schools. One of the most important parts of this process is hearing directly from stakeholders, including teachers, staff, parents, students, and the community at large.  Stakeholder input will help Zeal develop a Leadership Profile that reflects the values, priorities, and aspirations of the Stamford community. The Leadership Profile will guide both the recruitment of strong candidates and the evaluation of their fit with the district.

Zeal will host multiple opportunities for stakeholders to share their perspectives, including in-person forums, virtual meetings, and through an online engagement tool called ThoughtExchange. ThoughtExchange enables individuals to share their thoughts and rate the ideas of others in an efficient and anonymous way.

The BOE encourages everyone to participate in a superintendent search input session to help develop the Leadership Profile for the next Superintendent of Schools. 

The Stamford Board of Education is committed to transparency and stakeholder engagement throughout the Superintendent Search process, including participation by teachers, administrators, staff, students, families, and community members. All feedback will be reviewed and carefully considered during the development of the Leadership Profile and throughout the recruitment and selection process.
