On behalf of the staff at APPLES Early Childhood Education Center, I am excited to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! I hope this letter finds you enjoying all the wonderful activities that summer has to offer and most importantly enjoying time with your family and friends!
We have had a busy summer here at APPLES with a roof replacement as well as construction to add a new classroom! We are excited to announce that we added an Art program to enhance our students’ creative sides, and we also added the Darien Nature Center to our list of educational opportunities! Our team of exceptionally talented and committed staff has also grown as we have welcomed: two special education teachers, three paraeducators, and two speech pathologists.
As a staff, we recognize that a home-school partnership is crucial to student success and we are looking forward to being productive partners with you to ensure your child can achieve at their highest potential. As partners, we share the responsibility of our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities to develop your child’s emotional health and academic growth. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she attends school daily, arrives on time, and stays for the complete day. Attendance has a direct impact on student success, especially in the early stages of schooling.
