College Acceptance Class of 2020

2020 College Acceptances

Cornell, Yale, Georgetown, UPENN, Brandeis, West Point

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Because they are college level classes, AP classes are weighted more heavily than CP and honors level classes; however, according to BOE Policy 6146.3 this weighting shall only occur for students who take the AP examination.  It is the expectation of the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering that all students take AP exams for the AP classes that they have taken, unless the students are registered with UCONN, in classes where AP and ECE are combined. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.

For the 2020 AP exams, students at Academy Information Technology & Engineering will be registering online. This registration will take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access. This year each AP exam costs $97.00.

This year each AP exam costs $97.00. Academy Information Technology & Engineering desires that every student be able to take their AP exams. Students requiring financial assistance should contact Mrs. Maria DeAntonis, [email protected], in the Guidance Office to learn more.
