Dear SPS Community:

The annual Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony is this Sunday, May 17 at 12 pm in downtown Stamford.

This year, student musicians from Davenport Ridge, Dolan, Hart, K.T. Murphy, Newfield, Rippowam, Scofield, Springdale, Stamford High, Toquam, Turn of River, Westhill and Westover will be marching in the parade, along with students from the Westhill High School JROTC. The parade begins at the Stamford Police Station and ends at Veterans Memorial Park.

Following the parade, there will be a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park to honor members of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country.

This is always a very moving and meaningful event, and we encourage you to attend the parade and ceremony if your schedule allows.

Thank you to the Patriotic & Special Events Commission, the Veterans Park Partnership, the Veterans Council, and the Veterans Resource Center for sponsoring this important commemoration.
