Stillmeadow Plant Sale is May 11-12 - Shoppers and volunteers needed!!!

The annual Stillmeadow Plant Sale is Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12 in the courtyard. Students and families can shop the sale from 8 am to 3 pm daily. Advanced  orders may be picked up on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.  

This year’s sale features an extensive variety of annuals for summer flower gardens, as well as tomatoes, basil and parsley for vegetable and herb gardens. Plants in 4-inch pots are $4 each, while multi-plant flats are $16 and 10-inch hanging baskets are $20. 

We also need volunteers to help staff the sale. Volunteers are especially needed to help unload and set up on Wednesday, May 10, from 11 am to 1 pm and to staff the sale between 10 am and 2 pm on Friday, May 12.

Help needed for Stillmeadow Field Days

Parents play an integral role in Stillmeadow's annual Field Days by donating snack items and staffing the event. 

These fun-filled days offer students and staff the opportunity to get away from the classroom for a few hours to engage in some friendly athletic competition and enjoy a barbecue picnic lunch.  

We are especially in need of a grade-level coordinate for our fifth grade Field Day on Thursday, June 8.

The Grade Level Coordinator (GLC) responsibilities include: 

Coordinating parent donations for each classroom’s lunch and snack

Managing Field Day volunteers 

Organizing Field Day meal and snack service, including set-up, serving, and cleanup.

First Grade – Wednesday, June 7

Second Grade – Friday, June 2

Final PFO general meeting of the school year

The PFO will hold its final meeting of the school year at 8:15 am on Thursday, May 25. We will provide updates on our plans for the 2017-2018 school year and will elect our new board of directors.

Stillmeadow Day at Yankee Stadium is June 25!

The Stillmeadow community will be heading to see the New York Yankees play the Los Angeles Angels on Old Timers' Day, which is Saturday, June 25th.

Tickets typically cost $60, but Stillmeadow families and friends will be able to pay just $30!

Volunteers needed for Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12) 

National Teacher Appreciation week is May 8-12. The PFO is planning numerous events to show appreciation for Stillmeadow's exceptional teachers and staff.   

We need a few more families to donate breakfast foods and baked goods. Please click here to review what is needed and sign up to make a donation.    

Volunteers are also needed to help with the breakfast buffet (May 10), coffee cart (May 11), and lunch buffet (May 12). If you can spare a couple of hours to help staff one of these events, please click here to sign up.  

Turn in your Box Tops by May 12

It's Box Tops time again! The food products in your pantry can help raise funds for Stillmeadow. Box Tops for Education provides funding for each Box Top we collect.

You can find the Box Tops logo on hundreds of eligible food and household products, including everything from Cheerios to Old El Paso salsa. Click here for the full list

Download the Box Tops collection forms, then affix the Box Tops to the form and send it in your child's take home folder. 

The deadline for turning in your Box Tops is Friday, May 12.

Tips and resources to get ready for STEM Night on Friday, May 19 

Is your child preparing a project for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Night on May 19?  If so, here are some tips and resources to help make this a successful and meaningful experience for you and your child:
