Substituting with Stamford Public Schools

  • Substitute Teachers
    • Substitute Teachers with Stamford Public Schools receive $90 a day for regular substitute assignments.  Long-Term Substitute Teachers (substitute teachers who remain in the same assignment for more than 30 days) must be certified in the subject area they are teaching, and receive $155 a day after the first 30 days.

      • Hold 60 college credits or an Associate’s degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment

    • Minimum Qualifications to become a Substitute Security Guard with Stamford Public Schools:
      • Hold Connecticut Security Officer Certification
      • Hold a high school diploma

    • Substitute Clerical Staff with Stamford Public Schools receive $15.00 per hour.
